Universal Education The Ninth Principal of the Baha'i Faith “Now reflect that it is educ ation that brings the Knst and he West under the authority of man; produces wonderful irjJus $rieg, spreads glorious saliences and arts, makes manifest new dis coveries and laws. If there were no educator, there would be no such thngs as comforts civiliza tion, cr facilities or humanity. If a man be left in a wilderness where he sees none of his own kind, he will undoubtedly become i r meik brute; it is then clear that an educator is needed. “But education is of three kinds inert of the body, through train-! ing its sustenance, its material | comforts andease. This education is common to animals and man. “Human education signified ci vilization and progress: that is to say, government, administration, charitable works, trades arts and handicrafts, seciences, great inven tion and discoveries of physical laws, which are the activities es sential to man as distinguished from the animal. “Divino education is that of the ! ■ kingdom of God: it consist in ac auiring divine perfection and this is true education; for in this es tate man becomes the centre of divine pppearanoe, the manifesta tion of the words, “Let us make man in our image and after our likertess.” This the supreme goal of the world of humanity,’’ Please accept an invitation to a Bafba P Fireside Chat every Wednesday 8 p. m. at 3014 No, 28th Ave. Doreene Holliday — o WAWWAVAVVAVAVA Duffv Pharmacy We. 0609 24th and LAKE STREETS .
