CAMPAIGN BRINGS
INQUIRIES FROM ALL
PARTS OF COUNTRY
Inquiries received up to Feb.
7th, from the first four adver
tisemenlh rjn 'the* Nebraska,
Wliite Spot Campaign indicate
that the state’s message to in
dustry is being heard through
out tbe country, according to a
report by Otto Zimwinkle, man
aging director of Associated In
dustrie.a of Nebraska.
Of a total of 236 inquiries re
ceived from 43 states, 86 asked
for additional information on
Nebraska's industrial resources
and advantages', an analysis
of returns shows.
Among these are letters from
an overall manufacturer in
California; a music publisher
in Colorado; clay products, a
threading equipment and nee
die works executives in llliu
ois, a Hour mill and a, printing
plant in Minnesota; a mail or
der house, dress manufacturer
and a publisher in New York;
a soap company executive in
Ohio; a tanner in Iowa; a s4ioe
polish manufacturer in Missou
ri; executives ol' a malted milk
plant and a furniture factory
in Wisconsin; and a hosiery
mill in Pennsylvania
Bankers in five states also
have requested industrial in
formation, presumably for pa
trons of theSr banks.
Following the inquiries on in
dustrv, the next largest group
were those seeking more infor
mafcion on Nebrahka’s freedom
from debt and nuisance taxes.
There were 40 such inquiries
received to February 7till.
Officials of the campaign
say that although the inquiries
do not definitely result in new
industries bding brought into
Nebraska, they do indicate that
the White Spot campaign is
making a definite impression
on industrialists and financiers
ot the country. As flic cam
paign continues through the
next ten months, il is logical
to expect definite results to be
developed in the near future.
In addition to the twice a
month alvertisements in 'rime
magazine, Nebraska is receiv
ing many columns of valuable
publicity as the White Spot of
America in newspa.prs and in
magazine^ Itjhriughout the na
tion. _
Clippings o£ articles ami cd
itorialcomment from 68 news
papers in twenty two states
exclusive of Nebraska, have
been collected. All of thefee
hundreds of editorials praise
Nebraska for its outstanding
and unique financial record,
and point to this state as an ex
ample for tjheir own state gov
emments.
