Pruitt, brought to us a very inspirating sermon. Text St. Luke 19:5, subject ‘‘Come down you’re too high.’’ BYPU opened at 6 p. m. with a large attendance. 8 p, m., the pastor again brought to us a soul stirring message. Text Titus 3:6, subject “Things are not like they used to be. Visitors were Mr. Henry Hobson and Mrs. Skillman. On Friday, November 6th there will be a a high noon luncheon at the home of Mrs. Stromile, 2504 Franklin. The Willing Workers club meets every Thursday night. Curry, Pastor Sunday school opened with an unusually large number present. A new interest is being created am ong all workers in the church school program and the children as well as adults are taking on new life. At 11 o’clock Rev. F. C. Williams preached a very interesting ser mon which was enjoyed by every on® present. BYPU opened at 6:30 with our very efficient president, Miss D. L. Britt, in charge. At 8 o’clock, Dr. King prtached an interesting sermon. -o PLEASANT GREEN CHURCH Rev. J. IL Reynolds, Pastor Morning service was well attend ed. Text Matthew 7th chapter, 13 14 verses. ‘Straight is the road but narrow gate and few that find it.” There was one addition to the church, M. Thomas Phayers. There were offerings for th? sick by Bro. Rev. Wiggin. BYPU was held at 6 p, m. Night service was preached by Rev. E. Green, from 5th chapter of St. John 12 and 13 vtrscs. Topic, "Who Is Jesus?” Visitors are always welcome at Pleasant Green Baptist church. --—o MT. MOR’AH CHURCH Rev. F. P. Jones, Pastor Sunday was Women’s Day at th > Mi, Moriah church. In the after noon at 3 o'clock a program was re ndered with Mrs. R. O. Jones as mistress of ceremonies. Of interest was the subject diccusscd by Mrs. Gladys A. Ihallum, executive secre tnry of the YWCA. The St. John choir and the pastor. Rev. Adams were present. The song they sang were uplifting and inspiring. It is truly a pleasure to hear this talent ed choir sing. At the evening worship the ‘Candle Light” service conducted by the women, was beautiful and impressive. It is truly a great thing to be a Christian that lets his light shine so men may see your good works glorify the Father in Heaven. Next Sunday will be Men’s Day. Saturday evening October 30th, the Sunday school department is giving a Hallowe’en party. Come dressed for the occasion. Everyone is cordially invited. Those sick are Mrs. M. E. Burton, whose con dition is serious. Mrs. Winters also is quite ill. Mrs. Beck, Green, Da vdson and Johnson are convalesc ing. . Girl Reserve News . The third meeting of the Gross Eicks was held October 26th, at the YWCA. The club discussed their old business and new business The following girls attended the cabinet conference at the downtown YWCA: Doris Newland, Mildred Squires and Mary Wiggins. Mildred Squires discussed what happened at the conference. The chairmen chosen this year were Bertha Young, music; Geraldine Smith, service; Rachel Covington, program Olive Willis, social. Doris Ware, membership; and Margaret Dortch, publicity. Betty Davis, Doris Newland and Margaret Dortch were chosen to represent our club at the Inter Club Council.
