The shower was given ut the home of Mrs. Lydia Rod gers, 12801 No. 24th street. While Mrs. Myers engaged the honored guest iu conversation, the members quietly arose from their bridge tables and gather ed around her; then suddenly a large silver tray was placed before her, filled with daintily tied packages. She was truly surprised, and touched to tears. On opening her packages, she found many beautiful handker chief and greeting cards. The box cover of one gift was then passed around and the names and addresses of all the mem bers were written on it with shot original verses and auto gaphs. Mrs. Hawkins, the gra cious bridge instructor for the club, was present as an honor ary member and guest.
