This personage was Dr. L. K. Williams, president of the National Baptist Convention. The most challenging thought im pressed me to get a newer and stronger grip on God. “We are living in a changing world and there will probably em erge a new economic order out of our present crisis. There is nothing upon which we rely expecting per manent satisfaction.” Of course, the speaker concluded that we need God and cannot ex ist without Him. I am of the opin ion that, though we have tried and many are trying new doctrines and methors, unless we repent and become converted as children they shall perish. By being converted we may have a change of heart and mind about life, our relationship to our fellow man and salvation. The life and teaching of Jesus is the best and only solution to our problem, but these must be ap plied in our individual lives and group life. We must live, aet and thust what we claim to believe. We hope, that every true Me thodist was inspired to be more devoted as they probably celebrat ed thq birthday anniversary of John Wesley on June 17th. If each branch would cease trying to exist as a church within itself and en deavor to be a real "Holy Club” as the Wesley brothers formed that of itself would create the greatest revival of our lives and times. John Wesley’* intention primarily was to bring about a spiritual awaken ing so that is what is needed now and methodist, the challenge is ours TRADE AT TUCHMAN’S I I food Stores, Inc.
