ANNOUNCEMENT To my friends and the Public: I am taking this means of an nouncing that I have acquired the Oxford addition adjoining the La Casa Hotel. In all, there are eight houses now being remodeled into up to-date apartments, furnished and some unfurnished. We will also have several five and two room houses for rent, also several ten nis courts. I am desirous of making this enterprise prove to be an additional medium of service in and to the community. It is my sincere hope that as time passes, this institu tion will grow and prosper, and in so doing offer a better and broad er service to the entire community. Rone, that he died intestate seized of said lot, and no application has fcen made in the State of Nebraska for an ap pointment of an administrator of his estate, and that the heirs of the deceased, their degree of kinship and their right of descent in said real property be entered according to law, and that further adminis tration of said estate be dispensed with. J., received his elementary training in his home town, high school training in Atlantic City and Philadelphia, and took the A. B. from Morgan college in ‘29. His newspaper work is confined to radio comment; and he is announcer for baseball games at Dyckman oval, Manhattan, each Sunday. Bostic created a sensation recently when ho formally protested to the New York State Boxing Commision that he had been gyped when he paid $16.60 for a ticket to see Joe Louis and Bob Pastor fight, charging he saw a foot race. (C) -o | Negro Nurse Honored For Work In Spain New York, June 26 (CNA)— Salaria Kee, first Negro nurse to go to Spain, was praised in an in terview released by the Spanish Government information bureau in Valencia. Miss Kee, an Ohio girl trained in Harlem hospital, New York, left with a unit of the Medi cal Bureau to Aid Spanish Demo I cracy in March, and has been with one of the bureau’s base hospitals near Albacette. “Miss Kee is a lovely girl/’ said the interview. “As the first nurse of her race here, she does credit to the Negro people. Her work in the hospital where every nurse and doctor has to do the work of sev eral others has proven her real merit.” The Medical Bureau, 381 Fourth avenue, New York City, has sent 85 nurses and doctors to Spain for the three base hospitals and one mobile hospital set up there, which keeps in equipment and supplies by contributions from anti-fascists and friends of Democracy in this coun try. The three-day institute, sponsor ed by the YMCA School of Com merce on the campus of Dillard university, brought to New Or leans some of the nation’s best known business leaders. Included among those who were active participants on the program were C. C. Spaulding, president of the North Carolina Mutual Life nsurance company and president of the Merchants’ and Farmers' Bank of Durham, N. C.; J. B. Blayton, C. P. A., professor of the. Citizens Trust Company of Atlanta; Asa Spaulding, actuary for the North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company, Durham N. C.; James A. ,/Vckson, Special Representative, Standard Oil Company of New Jersey; Albon L.
