Rabes Hottentots Win Two Games The Rabe Hottentots, before a large crowd easily defeated the City Champion Girls 14-4 at 20th and Burdette streets. The. Hottentots are fast rounding into their 1936 form, and played a beautiful game in field and hit hard and timely, plus many errors by the Metz Girls, turned what was intended for a real game into a walk away. The colored girls, with Bolden Stewart, returned to form, having been benched for poor paying, inspired the whole team, with their hitting and pep. Gennison and Lindsey’s double play of a hard hit drive to 3rd and running catch of a line drive by A. Lyles in center were easily fielding features of the game. Bolden cat ching her first game of the season mado Mickey Cochran look like a chump by her throwing, which Btopped the fast Metz girls from running wild on bases. The Hottentots are gaining a large following, and each Sunday we find Mr. and Mrs. Singer and Mr. Gavaul of Fonto.nelle Brewery , enjoying the girls game, and each [ time are more convinced. The Hottentots defeated Neola, j la., Sunday at 8 p. m. with that lust to crush, having defeated Metz girls for their second victory of j the season. Rabeis girls defeated ; a picked team of girls and boys, 26-6 at Neola, la. Beulah Smith with two home runs and a double and Lindsey with a long homer in center with bases loaded were the hitting stars, with return to form of Gennison, both in fielding and with the stick. The Hottentots | look like 1937 State Champs. F. Lindsey toyed with Neola teams, and due to errors was rob bed of a shutout, striking out 14, with that sterling litle receiver, F. Wright behind the bat, and catch ! ing fast bolls of Speed Lindsey like | a veteran, will replace I. Murrell and will be found at second base until the return of Capt.
