B- Lennox H- I Children who enjoy privacy In* their homes and are then thrown in large crowds, such as schools and church and by playing with others, are nuseptible to a ertain amount of communicable diseases Thus by Handling articles and putting the fingers into the mouth, by using the same drinking cup, sitting in congested rooms with littile ventilation, etc., they throw open the door for the spread of disease. Qrtht precaution should be taken to prevent the contraction of such diseases as small pox, scarlet fever, typhoid, diptheris, measles, whooping cough and the common cold which might later develop into pneumonia. To help prevent these, children must use his private drinking cup, bathe re gularly, never over eat, and eat regularly tjhe foods which are eas ily digested. A sufficient amount of rest answers for the same pur pose as good food. Keep the body warm and prevent chilling. If the child is not immune to these dis cuses or has not been vaccinated, have it done at once to safe guard against these contagious diseases and thereby help ward off other dis eases. If your child should fall a victim to any disease, call your family doctor at once and he will hep you check any ondition. Re* member a teaspoon full of pre caution is worth a barrel of cure. Their lives are worth the price. Palo the skies that now are in view, Forming an arch o’er the morning dew, Making the path for the bright warm sun, Clearly we see that day has begun; We revel in joys of dawn. Brighter and brighter have grown the skies, Radiant and lovely is the sunrise, Lighting the earth with a golden glow, Beaming with gladness that makes us know— This is the new bom day -o._ The earth is covered with a white blanket of snow Where it came from no one knows The wind is blowing among the trees, Tho rivers and lakes have begun to freeze Icicles are form/ing on window panes Winter has come but wa shouldn’t complain It will soon be gone in four months or so Tho icicles will start melting and so will the snow Then spring will coipo and we can play Out in the sunshine althrough the day.
