LOUIS Mrs. Lee Walker, 1627 No. 22nd St., has returned to the city after attending her mother’s funeral in St. Louis, Mo. While in St. Louis she attended the dedication of the Homer G. Phillips new Negro hos pital. This hospital will accomo date 685 patients. The nurses’ home provides dormitories for 146 nurses and 24 internes. Her niece, Miss Lillian Russell, is a nurse in this new hospital. -o Sick List Mrs. L. F. The evesning was spent playing games. Delectable refresh ments were served. All present re port an enjoyaible evening. We truly did hate to lose Monroe for he is such a good st>ort, ready and willing to do any thing to make a superior rating for his race. Ethel Davis, 5403 So. 24th St., hobby is swimming and ambition is to be a success. Another good and faithful student of dear old South high. She used her leisure time to some advantage. She was on of the highest on the 1937 honor roll, therefore being listed on the National Honor Society. Ralph Orduna, 5516 So. 31st St., whose hobby is football and whose ambition is to be a mechanic. We had to say “good bye" to Ralph— gee. w'e hated to because we were bidding a swell student farewell.
