THE OWL SAYS:
Anyone who is going to get
married and wants a lovely devil
food cake had better see Miss Oma
gean Harvey. And can she bake a
cake!
What’s this about a certain young
man being married secretly. I know
—do you. But who is the girl?
Many of us wonder if a certain
boy really has a permanent girl
friend or not. We see him with
first one then another. He can’t be
serious with all of them.

Beautiful Hair
(By Mrs. E. Baker 2C27-3 Ave.)
Mode of Oiling Hair and Scalp
Preparatory to Shampooing
Part the hair in short spaces so
as to expose the scalp to view,
inco it is the scalp that we are
going to treat first. Then apply i
oil to scalp with tips of fingers or
a small piece of medicated cotton.
When the scalp has been oiled, dip
n turkish towel in hot water and
wrap around the head. The steam
ing process opens the pores of the
scalp and permits the oil to pene
trate more rapidly.
To oil the hair take a dry cloth
heat it and saturate it with a good
hair oil. Brush the hair with
the hot oily cloth, a small lock at
a time. BcjsIi from the roots to the
'cry tie ends. Repoat several
times on eadh lock, if time per
mits- Reheat and reoil the cloth as
many times as necessary.
We are now ready for the sham
poo, which we will discuss in the
next issue of this paper.
