Heat 2 cups milk and pour over creamed j mixture and let cool. Place ^ yeast cake in cup of lukewarm water and let dissolve, later adding it to the above ingred ients, using enough flour to make thin baiter, (Best results I may be obtained by using a Dover egg beater in combining these). Now add one egg and let sponge stand from 1 to ; 1 1-2 hours, after which beat in enough flour to make sponge the consistency of biscuit dough —usually 4 to 6 cups of flour are necessary for this. Good hair cannot be obtained without a healthy scalp. There are several steps leading to a healthy scalp. If you will fol low steps given in this column :each week, you will be greatly benefitted. The scalp must be kept clean by correct shampooing, but first the scalp must be prepared for shampooing. Part the hair in very small parts as to ex pose the scalp to view, then with a rather fine toothed comb lift or loosen the dandruff from the scalp. "When the entire head has been gone over in this maiv ner, place the finger tips of both hands firmly on the head. Do not slide fingers about on. surface of scalp, but hold very firmly, and with a rotary move ment, such as we would get from an electric vibrator, go over the entire head. Put em phasis on the temple region and back of the ears, because the scalp feeders are thickest there. This massaging brings up the dandruff which was previously loosened by the comb. If there are any stubborn spots of dan drufff which will not yield to this treatment, ahinoinft spots ferred. In the next issue, I will give you the second step—brushing —which, too, should preeeed the shampoo. ECONOMY BEAUTY SHOP 1809 N. 24 ST. WE 4240 9:00 A M. to 6 P.M. First Class Work At Cut-Rate Prices.
