much to be ||
desired.
Women who formerly suffered
from a weak, run-down condition as
a result of poor nourishment, have
reported they obtained much bene
fit by taking CARDUI, a special
medicine for women. They found
it helped to increase the appetite
and improve digestion, thereby
bringing them more strength from
their food.
Naturally there is less discomfort
at monthly periods when the system
has been strengthened and the var
ious functions re
stored and regu
lated.
CARDUI
Is given so much
praise by the thou

who have taken it
that it is well
worth trying by
others who suffer
similarly. Of course,

A Mother’s Reverie
(By Mrs. T. M. Skinner)
Come sit at my feet, dear little
one,
>adle your head upon my knee,
Let the light from the setting
snn
Caress you tenderly.
Through each yellow curl that
I hold
Close against my knee
To a, little white house among
the pi'nes,
Where the sunlight filtered thru
Where the wind whispered
lullabies,
Where two curly heads with
questioning eyes
Rested their heads against my
knee
I And teased for the tale about
the gypsy
That roamed over land and sea
And won medals of victory.

Life’s Journey
(By Mrs. Emma Turner)
We are born in this world of
sorrow,
Innocent* of all the fears
That confront us through Ife’s
journey,
And oft times make us shed
tears.
Prom infancy to childhood
We have no worry or care,
We sometimes pass the age of
youth
Wiili no burden yet to bear.
Then comes age of manhood,
With old age on our heels;
And next we know we are at
the grave,
Life seems to run on wheels.
So while we arc on this journey
From the cradle to the grave ;
Let’s try to help our fellowman
And try some soul to save.
\>r it’s the little things wc do in
life
That seem to bring relief,
That cheer the weary traveler,
Oft times he forgets his grief
This world is full of sunshine,
If each would try to smile
And cheer his worried neighbor
Then life would seem worth
while
When our trials on earth are
ended
And our work in this land is
done;
Then we pass beyond this veil of
strife,
To the land of the unsetting
sun
