D, Johnson, pastor of St. John Baptist Church, con ducted the 11:00 a. m. service the past Sunday for ltcv. B. G Garrett, pastor of Mt. Hebron Church at Valley Junction. Rev. Johnson conduct :d the 3:00 o’clock baptismal service for Dr. (I. W. Robinson on Sun day, at which time twenty-six candidates were baptised. Dr Robinson is pastor of the Cor inthian Baptist Church ot lies Moines, In. During this after noon service there were three candidates for baptism and two reclaimed, Mon than seven hun dred persons were in attend ance. The Willing Workers Club of St. John Baptist Church met on •Monday, Nov. 30 at the home of Mrs. Stella Bragg, Pierce St. Melvin Terry spent Thanks giving with his parents, return ing to Nebraska City Tuesday morning. La„ is in the city visit ing his mother. , SAFETY PIN CLUB MEETS The Safety Pin Club held its first meeting at the home of Miss Annabelle L/yles, 2715 R St., on Sunday. The following officers were elected: Miss Annabelle Lyles, l’res. Miss Rose Jensen, Vice-pros. Miss Mary ltart, Secretary. Miss Stella Weaver, Treas. Miss Josephine Wise, Rep. Misses Ida Mae and Pearl May Wise and Mr. Hampton Wise were appointed members of the Standing Committee. Some very interesting points were given the club by Miss Georgia Walker The next meeting of the club will be Sunday, Pee. 6, at the home of Miss Rose Jensen, 5615 S. 30th St. Mr. A. J. Collins, 28 and V Sts., wbo was struck by a hit and-run driver some time ago, is improving. Mr. Peter Jefferson, 2723 R Sit., who has been ill, is able to be out again. Service was conducted by the pifrtor, as- ; sisted by Rev. Jones of Mt. Mo riah, and other associated pas tors. Night service was great. Rev. Harris of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church preached. It v.
