Are Married Quietly
Miss Virginia White, formerly of
Kansas City, Missouri, who. for the
past three years has made her home
in Omaha, became the bride of Mr.
Fredric Dixon, 2889 Ohio Street. Mon
day. November 19- Miss White grad
uated from Sumner High School in
St. Lolis, Missouri, and later attend
ed Nebraska Univeersifcy. Mr. Dixon
is a graduate of Technical High
School and a student of Omaha Uni
versity.
The wedding took place in Denni
son. low*. Mr. and Mrs. Dixon are
residing, for the present, at 2889
Ohio Street.
CLAIR M. E. LADIES AID
CLUB ENTERTAINS
Fifty guests were most royally en
tertained by the Ladies Aid Club of
Clair M- E. Church at a pre
thanksgiving Luncheon Riven at the
home of Mis I„ V. Gray. 2209 Ml
ai Street. The house was beautifully
decorated with yellow and black and
a touch of groat. Large beautiful
bouquet** of ekr^santhajnums and
ferns were also used as a decoration

The maids and matrons we-e kept
busy with the Wraps- This party was
one of the largest invitational affairs
of the season. One hundred and fifty
selected guests attended.

Mrs. Loren a Wa) C Adamr, of
Denver, Cole* ado, is the. house guest

Blondo St. M Adams is a niece of
the Shaws and will be here through
out the Christmas holidays.
Mis. Shaw, who suffered a paraly
tic stroke about five weeks «go, spoke
for the first time last Friday. She
was also able to move one leg- M-V*.
Shaw lost her speech and the use of
her limbs when she had the stroke
She is reported to be stradily improv
ing.

married on Monday. November 19, in

bride, played the piano, and a brother
of the bride, Mr. John White Jr.,
played the violin. There was a solo.

elected to the board of directors of
the Nebraska Power Co., it was an
nounced Thursday by J. E- Davidson,

Mil'. Bradshaw, who was born in the
foothills of the Arkansas Ozarks
came to Omaha in 1916 from Little j
Rock. Ark-, to become general coun
sel for the Woodmeen of the World, a
position hee held until elected presi—
dent two years ago.
