MEETS AT URBAN LEAGUE
The Omaha Hotel Employees As
sociation met Monday night. January
8, at the Urban League rooms, 24th
and Erskine Streets.
The purpose of the organization
was explained by the President J. J. j
Corbett. He stressed the necessity of
the Waiters of Omaha joining with
this organization to perpetuate their
jobs and to take advantage of the
Hotel Code, under the N. R. A. Ad
dresses were made by Mr. Harry Le
land and Mr. Toby James. The next
meeting will be Monday night Jan
uary 22, at the Urban League, at
9:30 p. m- All waiters are invited.
What are you doing to stop this kind of a Pay Day
to your husband to your son. Well stop spending your
money where you can’t work and that will help some.
Through this kind of process you are paying the salary
of 1,800 other working people where you can’t work. Re
