South Omaha, Neb., Oct. 24. The
stormy weather is responsible for the
light receipts of cattle so far this
week, but we think it will also have
the effect of starling many cattle to
market sooner than owners intended
as we understand the range in west
ern Nebraska is covered with several
inches of snow. The market can be
quoted from steady to 20 cents high
er than the close of last week, de
sirable killers of both cow and steer
stock showing the most advance. Al
though feeders are some higher they
will show enough extra shrink on ac
count of the weather .to more than
cover the difference in price. We

Hogs are selling off a little nearly
every day. Receipts are light. The
range of prices $6.00 to $6.25.
Receipts of sheep are smaller and
prices stronger.

ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE
In -the District Court of Lane sster
County, Nebraska.
In the matter of the estate of Peter
S. Schamp, deceased:
This cause came 'on for hearing on
the petition of Asa P. Schamp, execu
tor of the estate of Peter S. Schamp,
deceased, praying for a license to sell
the real estate described as lots 1, 2,
3, and 4 in section 20, township 13,
range 40 west, in Keith county, Ne
braska, also north 82 feet off lots 1,
2, 3, and all of lot 4 in block 4 in
the village of Malcolm, Lancaster
county, Nebraska, or so much thereof
as shall be necessary to pay debts and
expenses of administering said estate
there not being sufficient personal
property to pay said debts and ex
penses. It is therefore ordered that
all persons interested in said estate
appear before me at the court house
in the city of Lincoln, Lancaster coun
ty, Nebraska at 10 o'clock a. m. on
tho 26th day of November, A. D., r06,
to show cause why license should not
be granted to said executor to sell
said real estate or so much thereof
as shall be necessary to pay said
debts and expenses.
It is further ordered that notice of
such hearing be given all persons in
terested in said estate, by publication
for four (4) consecutive weeks in the
Nebraska Weekly Independent, a news
paper of general circulation in said
Lancaster county, Nebraska.
