Close to Nature
The method of treatment and
life at GREEN GABLES, the Dr.
Benj. F. Bailey Sanatorium, Lin

old Mother Nature. In , their
work the management do not
attempt to controvert nature,
but enter Jnto partnership with
her. They do not ride hobbies
or feel satisfied to dismiss their,
guests as "well" when only able"
to live the l'e of an ascetic or
"extremist. They " prepare them
to be strong' of body cheery of
heart and active in all things.

Another Lie Nailed
"The trouble with most people,"
said the lecturer, "is that they have
never learned to say 'no.' "
"Evidently," said a sad looking man,
who had succeeded in getting in on a
pass, "you haven't . been soliciting life
insurance since these graft exposures
were begun."
Takinog no Chances
During a recent discussion on juve
nile crime, Charles Richmond Hender
son, professor of sociology at the uni
versity of Chicago, and an eminent au
thority on criminology, told a story of
a youngster who was asked if he
knew the meaning of "regeneration."
"Yes," responded the lad, "it means
to be born again."
"And would you like to be born
again?"
"No siree," exclaimed the boy. "I'm
too much afraid of being born a girl."

taken twenty-nine roily of dress goods
from the shelf and was a trifle impa

there anything here which suits you?"
"No," replied the fair shopper.
"I guess I won't select the goods

No More Indigestion
This ought to be a good cure for in
digestion. It Is recommended by the
eminent Dr. Bond in the London Lan
cet, d medical journal of world-wide
repute:
"The indigestion must be a very
hopeless one," says Dr. Bond, "which
will not yield to a diet of a small cup
of warm milk to which a teaspoonful
of rum has been added, followed by a
plain biscut or two and some very
mild .cheese, paradoxical as this com
bination may seem."
According to Dr. Bond there is a
subtle harmony between these ingredi
ents that does the business.
