PACE 22 THE NEBRASKA INDEPENDENT AUGUST 25, 1904 I.1R. II. J. MULLEN'S GOOD ADVICE. An Example That Should be Followed by Every Friend of Good Government. Editor Independent: Inclosed find $1.60 for the enclosed club of eleven names. Nearly every one of the these are democrats, but I think all of them will vote for Watson and Tibbies. They were all perfectly willing to sub scribe for a populist paper and some of them seemed anxious to do so. I carry a copy of The Independent in my pocket nearly all the time and let no opportunity pass me to secure a subscription. I think it the best way to wake up an old pop or convert a democrat If populists generally would adopt this plan it would greatly extend the circulation of our press and would add thousands of votes to our ticket. H. J. MULLENS. " Franklin, Tenn. There are several thousand readers of The Independent who are following the same plan of campaign and doing the same excellent workthat Mr. Mul lens Is. In all these localities the peo ple's party is rapidly growing. In many counties it will this year suc ceed in electing the precinct and coun ty officers, which will help to strength en the organization. Never in its his STATE FAIR VISITORS, WELCOME!
