darkest days of the war.
The crcat corporations are now in
control of every branch of the govern

field convention to point the way for
relief. . .
Tndenendent readers are more ac

populism and pushing the educational
work in every locality. The citizen
who gives time and attention to pro
blems of government In time or peace
is as truly a patriot as he who fol
lows the flag in war.
The citizen who "dont care" about
politics is of doubtful patriotism. He'
is the nolitical rogue's delight and
they only wish that his kind may in
crease. He growls a little, out pays
the bills and does nothing to check
the robberies and polilical extrava
