Among the most important and praiseworthy enterprises of our city and one that has done much to give Lincoln its present commercial stand ing is the H. O. Barber & Sons Mill ing company. This well known con cern are dealers and manufacturers of flour. They buy their grain in large quantities direct from jhe farm ers through the firm's line of grain elevators. These elevators are located in tne best wheat section of Nebraska. The large amount of wheat handled by i.his firm enables them to select the choicest for the manufacture of their flour. The poorer grades of wheat are all shipped to the eastern supervision of a man of twenty-six years' experience, which explains the gain in reputation and popularity every day and week of its famous "LAU" brand of coffees. They also put out a comnlete line of canned fruits, vegetables and pure food products under the "LAU" and "Black bird" brands, and the increased de mand for "LAU" and Blackbird" pro ducts shows conclusively that the consumer today requires a high grade article at a reasonable price. 1 The gentlemen at the head of this enterprise are men who have the best interests of the city at heart, and men who are connected with its financial and social advancement as well. They are widely known here, and abroad, times demand of their dealers, that this Arm be patronized, and by so do ing make It possible for every citizen of Lincoln when making purchases of this nature to patronize a home con cern. This company's office and fac tory is located at 808-814 P street.
