In San Francis co the carpenters have made an agree ment with the Master Carpenters' as sociation affecting 12,000 men, by which wages will be increased from $4.50 to $4.80 a day on July 1. The arbitration board of the Chicago Carpenters' and Builders' association, the United Biotherhood of Carpenters and Amal gamated Association of Carpenters have signed the agreement which pro vides fpr an increase of 5 cents an hcur for the carpenters for the first year and for 7 cents an hour dur. the two years following.
