We have not received the proceedings
of tho riattsmouth Convention, but lenrn
that there was a full attendance of Del
egates nearly every county in the Terri
t ry being represented. Resolutions were
adopted in favor of organizing the partyi
re-affirming the Cincinnati Platform and
approving the genreral policy of Mr.
Buchanan's Administration, and also in
faor of submitting the Constitutions of all
States, hereafter to be framed, to a vote of
the People for ratification.
The total assessed value of real and
personal property in Detroit, is S10.3R1,
814, bein an increase of only SoOO.OOO
as compared with last year.
The work upon the line of the Racin?
& Mississippi Railroad, between Durand
nnd Freeport, has been resumed; and its
completion to the later place, is looked for
luring tho present summer.
