The Turkish Admiral and suite have
accepted au invita ion to vi.i t the lieu
River of the North, which is the western
boundary of Minnesota, the principal ob
ject being to see the vulley of the river,
and to engage in hunting the elk and
buffaloes. It is proposed to make the
trip in July. It is said thut Vico Presi
dent Breckinridge, Senators Fitch and
Ilice, Messrs. Becker and Cavanagh,
Representatives from Minnesota, and
Ex-Governor Medary, will accompany
the expedition. .
The past winter reason has been the
dullest known for many years upon the
various steamboat routes between Boston
and New York, by the way of Long Is
land Sound, both as regard passengers
and treight.
A Little Boy called upon one of our cit
izens, and ottered some raspberries for
sale. " Well, my son, " soys the citizen
"are there not worms in them?" The,
boy frankly replied, " I think they are
some." . Our citizen then said, " I don't
want the berries, but as you are an honest
