gives returns from all the towns in the
Slate except three small places in Coos.
Its footings are as follows: Haile, 36,

jority against Democracy, 4,823. The
rame towns last year gnve a majority
ogninst the Democracy of 3,537. The
Patriot gives the following summary of
the whole vote :

Increase of Deta. vote 361
Increase of Rep. vote 1,652
Increase of maj. against Dem. 1,291
Unite' majority over all - 1,71 1
Majority against Cut 4,788
The Patriot concedes the election of
nine Republicans to the Senate (a gain
of one) and three Democrats. The
House will probably contain 164 Repub
licans (a gain of four) to 121 Democrats
Republican majority of 73. The
Council is unanimously Republican, (a
gain of one.)
