It will be seen by the following reports, that a great want is about to be supplied. The early establishment of Churches in u new country, cannot be too earnestly de sired, or generously encouraged with pe cuniary aid by those laboring to e.-tab-liah and build up a community in which good order, niorulity and intelligence are regarded as among its first and chief wants. We hope other relcgious denominations intending to establish themselves among us, will Lb incited lo "Oo and do like wise." Delictus April 3d, 18-57. Pursuant to a public notice given by the Rev. Mr. Hamilton on the preceding Sabbuth, tho members of the Presbyteri an church assembled at ' the residence of the Rev. Mr. Hamilton to consider and adopt such measures as might be required for the erection of a house of worslup for the use of the Presbyterian Congregation in this place. The Rev. Mr. Hamilton being called to the chair, opened the meet ing with prayer. D. E. Reed was chosen Secretary. The Chairman having made a brief statement of the object of the meeting, it was moved and catried unanimously, that II. T. Clarke, D. C. Keller, James Lcrew, James S. Allan and Rev. Mr. Ilami'ton be a Committee lo solicit sub scriptions to aid in the erection of the house, Adjourned to meet at the same place Friday, April 10th, at 2 o'clock T. Rcsoleet, That a committee of three, con fisting of Rev. William Hamilton, D. E. Reed and H. T. Clarke be chosen to su perintend the construction of the building. Resolved, That the Uuilding Committee have power to select a location and fix .upon a suitable plan to erect the house. Resolved, That the subscription list to gether with the funds collected thereon, and all other funds designed to aid in the construction of the house, be placed in the hands of the Building Committee, and that the Committee be authorized to pro-' ceod with the erection of the house as poon as sufficient funds shall have been raised to justfy them in so doing. Resolved, That the same Committee bo authorized to make choice of a treasurer and such other officers as it may deem necessary, and shall bo required to keep a full account of its receipts and expeudU lures. M. R. R., thirty miles north east of Nebraska City, twenty-five miles south of Council Blutf, Iowa, and Omaha City in .ehraska. It is adjoining tlie lilutts or the Missouri river, at the entrance or Poney creek into the bottom. It extends into the bottom two miles and within two miles ot the channel of the Missouri river, the bottom gradually de scending to the river. The uncertainty of the river banks for a mile east of tho river disap proves ot the propriety of building within that distance of the river. The location is a healthy, romantic, and beautiful oae, being backed by blufls two or three hundred feet high, upon the top of which may bo seen the great Missouri bottom for thirty miles south, and twenty miles north. The site has long been looked upon as one of the most beautiful sites in Western Iowa for a large and thriving Ci'v, and has been held by the firs', settlers in Iowa for that pur nose, only awaiting the improvement of the country, the demands fur such a town, and the Railroad facilities which ars soon to be completed. A branch ol the JS.iriingTm and .Missouri River Railroad will be built ,nth north and south ot this place. The St. Joseph, Council Blurt, ami Sioux l iry Kailroa.i will undoubt edly run immediately through the town site. S'one of 'lie best quality and moit ex'erciive in Western Iowa, lies one mile south, and four miles north of the town. Four steam mills wi'hin five miles of the town are in successful operation, sawing fr.nn three to five thousand rcct per day, bead's a number ot water mills. Another steam mill is on the way to be put up in the town. A newspaper win u; p-iuusiieu mere, uy ine first of June next. Lumber is now on the ground, and being gawed, to erect fifteen or twenty houses. Contracts have been made to burn tv. 3 and a half million brick this season. The advantages which this place has over all others in western Iowa the Railroid fa cilities which Pacific City cannot mNs hav ing, together with being supplied wi'h the best water in the world, wi'b timber, and the bet agricultural counties in Western Iowa and Nebraska lvini east and wc or it. is a sure in dication that Inn? ere th Railroad is comple ted that Pacific Ci'y will be the largest city west of Burlington.
