jewels recently stolen from the Baroness
Anselme do Rothschild. The robbery

brown leather jewel case, the value of the
contents being estimated at 200,000
francs. For the most part, the jewels
from their remarkable rarity and beauty
may be easily recognized. Among them

pearls, of which three rows were of ten
to twelve grain pearls, and one row of
twenty to thirty grain pearls, the last
alone bein,r north 40,000 francs, and the

large oviemul onyx, surrounded with dia
monds, valued at 10,000 francs; a ser
pent ring, with diamond, the interior en
