Huskers Off for
Kansas City Meet
Lincoln, Feb. 5.—Righteen Husker
trackmen will leave Friday ‘night for
Kansas City to compete in the Kan
•as City Athletic chib indoor meet.
The party will he accompanied by
"Mud” Gardner, Coach Schulte, Her
bert Gish and "Doc” McLean, who
looks after the sprinters’ physical be
ing, will go to Kansas City in the
afternoon. The men who will make
the trip and the events are as fol
lows:
50-vard dash: Locke, Hein. Weir;
50-yard hurdles: Weir, Dailey; 1
mile relays: Rhodes, frit os, Lewis,
Hein or Dailey; 440-yard dash: (’rites
and possibly Rhodes; 600-yard Shan
non-Douglns race; Lewis: 2-mile re
lays: Reckord, Cohen, Hayes. Houder
sheldt; 1-mile run: S. Zimmerman and
Lawson: 880 yard run: Ted Johnson
(may also enter relays! and Cohen;
Shotput: Kriemelmeyer; pole vault:
Wirsig, Gleason, Rhodes.
None of the high jumpers are In
cluded in the list and it la probable
that none will he entered in that
event nor in any other field events ex
cepting the pole vault, aooording to
the list made out Thursday, and post
ed at the indoor track. Coach
Schulte has been going easy on the
trackmen for the last few days and
not putting them through hard
races in order to have them in shape
for the Kansas City meet.
