Trade in wheat was largely local. Out bid© Interest was more limited than at nny time since the at art of the year. I his accounted for uncertain swings in prices in a measure. Export •news was mUod, there being wheat brought back from Europe In some Instances while further fresh sales were also made. Duluth reported sales of 60.000 bushels durum wheat. The seaboard confirmed moderate amounts worked, while Russia )\us credited with having arranged for the shipment of around 200,000 barrels or Canadian flour. Liverpool cloaed 1K to2 pence lower. United State* Steel, which had receded more than a point from 122. was luuiched as a leader and, under vigor ous buying, went to 128*4- Practically the whole market went along with it. The next report of Its unfilled tonnage, it In understood, will show a big increase at least 600.O'M) tons, and probably more than that amount While nearly the whole market, parti cipated In the late advance, the oils, various of the independent steels, Sears Roehtick. Baldwin, which has been rather back ward of late, suddenly turned strong and acted well all throughout the day. Business was of fair volume. Money easy, 2 uer cent for call. Wheat broke in the early part of the day .all three of the active options being down to 4c. Corn went off cotton showed little animation. Spots were in poor demand.
