Thieves in Raids Made
With Stolen Car.
i ■
Clarinda, la., Oct. 2D.—Clarinda is
' the only town in a straight run of
seven to escape robbery of the cash
drawer at the railway station Sunday
, or Sunday night.
The thieves started apparently with
Hepburn, hreaklng Into the station
but obtaining no funds as the agent
had left the "cupboard bare.”
Skipping Clarinda, they broke Into
and rifled the station at Shambaugh,
T making away with a lone 15 cents
due to the caution of the agent in
placing the money elsewhere until
Monday's banking hours.
Braddyvllle station yielded up $20.
They found an empty cash drawer
at Clermont, and also at Burlington
gk. Junction, although the agent at the
latter station mourns the loss of a
trusty friend, a .32 automatic.
The rotiher band had confiscated
Western Union lineman’s car equip
ped for operating on railway traeks.
It is known to have stopped at Mait
land, Mo., but made a hurried get
away before thieving was even sus
pected. Special agents for the Chi
oago, Burlington & Quincy railroad
are working cn the case.

Simple Way to Get
Rid of Blackheads
There is one simple, safe and sure way
that never fails to get rid of blackhead*,
l that is to dissolve them. To do this get
I two ounces of calonite powder from any
drug store—sprinkle a little on a hot,
. wet cloth—rub over the blackheads briskly
—wash the parts and you will be surprised
how the blackheads have disappeared. Big
blackheads, little blackheads, no matter
where they are, simply dissolve and dis
appear. Blackheads are simply a mixture
of dust and dirt and secretions that form
in the pores of the skin. The calonite
powder and the water dissolve he black
heads so they wash right out, leaving the
pores free and clean and in their natural
condition.
