I * Omaha Hurler Allows Oilers but Four Hits Tesar Starts for Southerners hut Lasts Only Three In * nings—Herd Fattens Batting Averages. Ity RAI.PH WAGNER. Those Omaha Buffa loes of ours found themselves again ( pounded out an 8 tol victory over / ',ie Oilers in **’*rf* nn^ f,nB' o the only contest of the scries that t he Buffs copped, hut they made their margin of victory a large _ one at the ex pense of two southern mnundsmen. Ol* Bill Bailey labored for the Herd and labored hard all after noon. He had his southpaw working in fine style and turned the Oilers ; hack with only four hits, three of them coming in the second inning when the southerners scored their one and only run. The other hit came Itt the sixth inning after two were out, and didn't amount to any thing an it was only a single. Of the four hits Tulsa collected, one was a double off Stuart's bat in the second. Bailey had extra good control of the ball, striking out five visitors and Bailey’s Pitching Enables Buffaloes to Cop Series Final From Tulsa EDDIE’S FRIENDS After One of Krtdie*' Psrtfe*. The Oilers didn't get good pitching yesterday like they got the two previous afternoons when they de feated the Buffaloes. Jack Tesar started and lasted until the fourth. He was pretty liberal with his hits, the Herd fattening their batting average on eight hits of which one was a triple by Bonowitx and two doubles, one by I'ullop and another by Jimmy O'Nell. The Buffaloes cashed those eight hits for nix runs, whloh made Mister Tesar the losing pitcher of the p. m. Bolen Relieves Mate. Rolen relieved his mate In tlie fourth and managed to w'obble along to the seventh when the Buffaloes turned his curves and drops into hit* and scored two runs. The last Tulsa pitcher was nicked for three hits, which made the Herd's hits for the day total 11. It is lhe most bingles Omaha has collected at the expense of filler hurlers in any one game of the series. TJTIVV A b.k.if.tii.hh.hr. nti.ro. a.e, Austin.
