Tulsa Wins Second Game of Series From Buffaloes by Score of 2 to 1 <—r-< C Oilers Score Run in Sixth to ^in Contest N _____ Harry Lee and Olin Yoigt Mix in Pitchers’ Battle, Each Allowing Five Hits—Pinal Today. ■ MAHA lost the sec ond game of the Tulsa series yes terday In the sixth inning when a hit batsman, base on ball? and Lclivelt's single to right scored Lamb with tlie winning run. The final score was 2 to 1 in favor of the boys from down south. The game de veloped Into a pitching mix be tween Harry Lee of the Buffaloes and Olin Voigt of the Oilers, with Lee having the advantage in strikeouts. Both allowed five hits, but Lee struck out six and Olin one. The Oilers got a pair of doubles and a triple off Lee's deliveries, while the Herd bounced Voigt twice for doubles and " three times for singles. The Buffaloes started to get re venge for the defeat handed them by the Oilers Tuesday and in the very first inning scored their one and only run. Thompson led off witii a dandy double to right field and Robin son came along with a two-bugger to right, scoring Thompson. Manager I>elivelt flashed the 8. O. 8. sign or similar signs to the Tulsa dugout and out trotted an Oiler pitcher to warm up. Voigt gave one look at his manager and then tightened up tigiiter than a well-known clam and retired the side in quick order. The Oilers hurler allowed the Buffaloes three singles after the first inning, one in earh the third, fourth and fifth innings, but neither hit amounted to anything. In the fifth Thompson, the first man to bat, singled, but Robinson hit into a double play and Ctillop grounded out. The Oilers scored their first run and tied the count in the third after one out when Casey sent up a high fly behind Harry Lee. Second Base man Thompson signaled for the catch, but missed the ball and the Oiler 1 reached first in safety. Davis came through with a pretty double to left field, scoring Casey. Lee then struck out Lamb and made Washburn fly to Osborn for the final out of the in iing. Dos Moines Wins Two. r»c.i Moines, la..
