Standard Laundry team of the Metropolitan league, saved Dick Wages, second baseman of the clothes washers, from a three year suspension. Thursday noon Lehr appeared at the office of John Dennison, secre tary of the Municipal Baseball as sociatlon, and filled out a release, blank for Wages who hopped over to Marshalltown. Ia., and played three games with Jack Lacy's team and then returned to Omaha Friday morning. While Lehr was discuss ing Wages' case with Dennison Thursday, Fred Krajicek, who Just returned from Marshalltown, an nounced that Wages would return sometime this week. Upon hearing this news Lehr promptly withdrew Wage's release before it was properly recorded. Had Wages' release been properly filed he would have been suspended for three years, but now that he has not missed any scheduled games that the Laundry men are to play he is still eligible to compete In the Metro league games.
