Six Shetland ponies and many rash prizes will be given by the Omaha Heal Estate board to Omaha school children who cultivate the best gardens within the school limits of Omaha this year. Any school child under 18 years is eligible to enter the contest fostered by the realtors with a view to beau tifying Omaha and teaching the youngsters the industry of raising flowers and vegetables. Gardens must be at least 100 square feet. Applications mdfct be filed at the office of the Real Estate board before April 15. The application blank which ap pears in this issue of The Omaha Bee may he used. BULLET RIDDLED „ BODY IN SWAMP Braintree, Mass., April 4.—The body of John Abbot of Denper, Colo., bearing three bullet wounds, was found today In a swamp near the home of his brother, Geddes G. Ab bot, whom he had been visiting. Medi cal Examiner Frazer pronounced It a case of suicide. According to his brother, Abbot had worried over ill health and financial reverses. He had been missing for two days and the body was found by a searching party made up of police, firemen and Boy Scouts. r~ Additional Markets — J Domestic W oolen Market Listless; Shipments Heavy Boston, April 4.—The Commercial Bul letin will say tomorrow: "Manufacturers continue to operate in the wool market in the most listless man ner, although the w;ool merchant* are hopeful that the near future will bring butter business. Meantime, a number of dealer* are accepting prices from the for eign markets, which are 10 to 15 c#nt* a pound, scoured basis, higher, not deduct ing charges, than can bs obtained for wool here, and shipments cleared the past week have been something over two million pounds, h record. “The foreign markets ars strong, Lon don closing at the top for the aeries, while the primary markets keep very strong, even with Inferior offerings. "The goods market is still in the dol drums. apparently, and manufacturers are Inclined to buy llUJe that they do not actually need. In the west, contracting has been sluggish.
