John Victor Anderson, 64, superin tendent of the Nebraska division of the Union Pacific railroad, was found dead on the street at Grand Island, Neb., at 10:15 last night. Doctors pro- | nounced the death due to heart dis ease. He was employed by the Union Pacific more than 30 years. He was born In Princeton, III. Mr. Anderson's first work with the railroad’ was as telegraph operator on the Wyoming division in 1890. He was made train dispatcher in 1899 and chief train dispatcher in 1904. In 1915 he was made trainmaster at Omaha and assistant division superintendent in 1916. He was appointed superintendent of the Kansas division with headquar ters at Kansas City In 1918, trans ferred to Cheyenne as superintendent in 1920 nnd was made superintendent th* Nebraska division with head Sjfc^^iuarters St Omaha in April, 1922. Mr. Anderson left Omaha Tuesday evening In his private car in ap parently good health. He Is survived by the widow and a nephew, William Hungerford, who lives with them at the Roland apartments, 2107 North eighteenth street.
