Oldest Dated Stone Is Unearthed at Ur The temple of the Moon God at Ur
of the Chaldess, in Mesopotamia, where the joint expedition of the British —
museum and the University of Pennsylvania has unearthed many new relic
s of prehistoric days In the tomb was found the oldest dated stone, a tabler
of King A-An-Ni-Pad-Da, about 4600 B. C. The joint expedition has discov
ered data of vast archaeological value, since the discoveries antedate the
Tutenkhamen period by more than 2,000 years.
