RICHLAND—While doing chores John buaueld, farmer, living east of Richland, discovered, one of hJCWtiWa ltoek hens In a snowdrift, it having evidently spent the night in the bitter ^old. He took the hen into his house |and placed her In * bo* behind the I kitchen stove, as pile was almost | frozen. Going to look at the hen an hour later, he discovered that sho und quite recovered and had laid an egg. To his surprise, the egg was frozen solid, a long creek appealing In It where It had burst.
