Aa Ordinance declaring the necessity of
appropriating certain private property
and lands for the use of the City of
Omaha, for the purpose of opening and
widening 46th Street from Saratoga
Street to Fort Street in the City of
Omaha, and providing for the appoint
ment of three disinterested freeholders
or said City to assess the damages to
the owners, respectively, of the prop

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
W Section 1. That it is proper and neces
•V *ary, and It is hereby declared proper and
necessary, to appropriate certain private
property- and lands for the use of the
City of Omaha for the purpose of open
ing and widening 46th Street from Sara
toga Street to Fort Street, said property
and lands necessary for such purpose
being situated in said City of Omaha, and
described os follows
West 26 feet of Lots 18 and 18, Selby
Heights, also the West 26 feet of Lota
13 and 14. Block 1. the West 25 feet of
Lots 13 and 14, Block 2. Gate City Park.
Section 2. That the Mayor, with the
approval of the City Cqpncfl. appoint
three disinterested freeholders of the City
of Omaha to assess the damages to the
owners, respectively, of said property and
. lands taken by such appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance ehall
take effect and be in force after fifteen
day* from and after Its passage.

and Frances streets.
The alignment and grade to be a
straight line between the points speci
fied as nearly as practicable and accord
ing to the plans and specifications, on
file in the office of the City Engineer.
Six-inch junction pieces shall be placed
in said sewer as shown on plans, or as
directed In writing by ths City Engi
neer.
Section 4. That the City Engineer be,
and he Is hereby, authorized to advertise
for bids for the construction of said
sewer according to the plans and speci
fications for the construction thereof on
file |r. his office, such advertisement to
be published each day In one dally is
sue of the official paper of the city for
at least one week, and the expiration of
the time for filing bids fixed in such
►advertisement shall be no less than one
week after the first authorized publica
tion of such advertisement.
The bids shall be received and filed in
the office of the City Engineer and shall
be publicly opened at the precise tims
stated In the advertisement; and he shall
make an abstract of all bids received
and shall transmit such bids together
with the abstract* thereof and his find
ings and recommendations to the City
Council at Its next regular meeting after
the opening of such bids for its action
thereon
Section B. Whereas, an emergency ex
ists. this ordinance shall take effect and
be In force from and after its passage.

inal City of South Omaha, being be
tween 23rd, 24th, N and O streets. In
the City of Omaha.
Whereas, petition representing all the
property abutting on west 75 feet of east
and west alley in Block 86. original City
of South Omaha, has heretofore been
filed with the City of Omaha; and
Whereas, said property owners hav* in
and by said petition waived any and all
damages that may be occasioned by the
vacation of said alley, Therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUN
CIL OI* THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1.—That the west 75 feet of
cast and west alley In Block 86, original
City of South Omaha, being between 23rd,
24th. N and O street. In the City of Oma
ha. be. and the same Is hereby vacated;
the City of Omaha reserving the right,
however, to grant permits for the construc
tion of pole lines with the necessary lat
eral connection along said part of said
alley; and also the right to construct
sewer, water main, conduit and any other
sub-surface structures which may be
found necessary for properly serving abut
ting property.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall

"Grading Bonds,” for Grading Improve
ment No. 80.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA:
Section 1. That an Issue of general
bonds of the City of Omaha in the prin
cipal sum of One Thousand Five Hun
died Dollars ($1,500) Is hereby author
ized and shall be denominated “Grading
Bonds.” The proceeds to be used to pay
the costs of grading 40th Street from
Leavenworth Street to Pacific Street
being Grading Improvement No. 80. These
bonds shall be In denominations of Five
Hundred Dollars ($600). Shall be due
«nd payable in five years from date,
with Interest at the rate of five (ft) per
rent per annum payable semi-annually
with coupons annexed. These bonds are
issued under the provisions of. and sub
ject to. the limitations in Article IV and
► specially Section 24 thereof of Chapter
116, General Laws of Nebraska approved
April 20, 1921. ....

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUN
CIL OP TIIE CITY OP OMAHA:
Section 1. That Sewer District No. 833
be. and hereby is, created in the City of
Omaha.
Section 2. That Sewer District No. 833
shall comprise the following lots and
tracts of real estate, to-wlt:
Lots 1, 2. 3. 4, 5. 6 and 7. Block 347,
original City of South Omaha.
Section 3. That the sewer In Sewer
District No. 833 shall be constructed as
follows:
Beginning at a manhole at the center
of Intersection of 32nd and K street#;
thence north along a line about 10 feet
east of the west line of 32nd street, with
an eight-inch pipe to a manhole 20 feet
south of J street.
The alignment and grade to be a
straight line between the points specified
as nearly as practicable and according
to the plans and specifications on file in
the office of the City Engineer.
Six-inch Junction pieces shall be placed
In said sewer us shown on plans, or as
directed in writing by the City Engineer.
Section 4. That the City Engineer be,
