taught In Scripture, nor does It hold
good in the affairs of this life. Christ

will both fall into the ditch.'
"Blindness will not save them from
the ditch. Blindness in belief of the
truth will lead to ruin. The belief of
a lie, however honest Is the believer,
will bring calamity and misfortune.
In the everyday affairs of life, If one
believes a bank is perfectly safe when
It is not. the honesty cf his belief
will not savo his money deposited In
that hank. The more henest one is
in the belief of a falsehood, the worso
It is for him, for It will lead him Into
wrong action. If one goes to his
medicine cabinet and gets the wrens
drug, I‘. makes no difference how hon
est he Is In his belief about It, he must
suffer the consequences of believing
what Is not true; It often means death.
It a telegraph operator should give
the wrong order to trainmen and they
believed It to be the truth, they would
probably run their train to destruc
tion.

and may be honest in disbelief, but
if they disobey it they subject them
selves to the punishment which
should follow.

of the bolshevik revolution and Is the
author of a celebrated report on the
new form of government. Another
of his better known achievements Is
a report on the labor situation In the
coal mines, during the Investigation
of w'hich he turned miner himself.
He is a personal friend of Dr. Frank
Smith, pastor of First Central Con
gregational church.

road, died of appoplexy here. Colonel
McCoy, who was a colonel of Colorado
