Forfeits Bond—Mary Shannon,
Seventeenth and Webster streets,
whose appeal from a conviction on a
charge of mayhem, in district court,
is pending in supreme court, forfeited
*15 bond in municipal court yesterday,
falling to appear to answer a charge
of drunkenness.
Waiter Is Slain—Gus Augustine,
Dos Angeles, waiter on a Union Pa
cific (lining car, died early this morn
ing at St. Joseph hospital as the re
sult of gunshot wounds believed by
police to have been Inflicted by Joe
Prince, Chicago, in a rooming house
at 1124 South Thirteenth street.
