Tapered Asphalt.Shingles
Asphalt is practically everlasting. Roads built of
it stand up well under the heavy pounding of
traffic and the attacks of weather. What better
material could you select for your roof?
WINTHROPS have the attractive shape of the old
wooden shingles with their pleasing shadow lines.
They are surfaced with crushed slate of unfading
colors—tile red, blue black, sea green. In solid
colors or combinations you cannot fail to work
the roof you desire.
Your lumber dealer either has or can get these
shingles for you. You can tell them by their
trade mark, WINTHROP, and the shape. There
are none like them.

TOMORROW We Celebrate Our Eleventh Anniversary! Eleven years
which brought us from a humble beginning of ONE FILLING STA

years which have won for us numberless friends and patrons together
with that priceless business asset—GOOD WILL!
.Eleven years ago we blazed the trail with
the Filling Station idea; installing the
first of its kind in the eitv of Omaha at
the corner of 24th and Hickory, located
just north of the viaduct. Later, in an
effort to render greater convenience to
our customers, we leased the southeast
comer of 17th and Jackson streets and
installed Filling Station Number Two—
which is shown on the left.
