Across Ocean ^Zeppelins Carrying 40 Passen gers Expected to Ply Be t'veen Spain and Argen I tina Next Summer. By Aftftoriated PrM*. London, June 20 —Details of the , first Atlantic airship- service between , Spain and Argentina have just been I made public by the London Daily i Chronicle, which says that it may i soon be possible to bridge the 5,000 miles between the two continents in three and a half days. The service v,ill operate between Seville and Bue nos Aires, and Zeppelin aircraft will t be used. There will be terminal airdromes, ■ mooring masts, repair sheds and hy drogen factories at Seville and at Bue , nos Aires. In addition, emergency • landing grounds will be laid out at ithe Canary islands and at Cordoba, J in the Argentine. Revolving Hangars. On the American side of the Atlan tic the hangars will be made on a re volving principle, because of the va riability of the wind. Four airships are being built to inaugurate the scheme, and it is antcipiated that service will begin next summer. It Blso is probable that arrangements will be made to link up Seville direct with London by an airplane service. The airships, fitted with nine en gines, each developing 400 horsepower, will carry 40 passengers and 11 tons cf mails and merchandise. There will be two simultaneous flights a week In each direction, and the time taken to cross the Atlantic will be three days and lfi hours. Passengers will have ail the comforts of an Atlantic liner, without, the disadvantage of seasick ness* » 82 Miles an Hour. [The ships will have a speed of 82 miles an hour. Zeppelin pilots who have not less than 1.000 successful flights to their credit will be engaged to operate the cj-aft. Each airship will carry six pilots and a com mander. Powerful wireless sets will be fit ted into each ship, thus it will be possible to keep in touch with 45 weather stations on the coasts of Spain, Africa, America, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Fernando Noronha, as well as with ships at sea.
