Problems That Perplex
Objecting Families.
Dear Miss Fairfax: 1 am a profes
■tonal woman and a few months ago
met a young man, a Greek, though
educated in France and a citizen of
the United States for 12 years. He
has been very attentive to me, and we
have become very fond of each other.
He is in business with his brother,
who objects to his marrying an
American girl. I have no pat enta, but
my relations feel he is beneath me.
I have supported myself through col
lege and since graduating, so feel I
am under obligations to no one. I feel
that as long as this man has a sub
stantial personal bank account, a good
paying business and able to support
me and that aa lone aa we love each
other that la all that ta neceaaarjr
My relativea feel that I ahould mar
ry a professional man, or a wealthy
man older than myself and tsenore this
man. That It is wronR for me to Rive

HELP FOR EXPECTANT
MOTHERS
Many Cases Reported of Women
Being Kept in a Normal, Healthy
Condition by Lydia E. Pink
ham’s Vegetable Compound
Mothers transmit to their children
the blessings of a healthy constitu
tion. How important, therefore,for
the child, as well as for the mother,
that she should carefully guard her
health during the trying pre-natal
period. Preparation for a healthy
maternity is accomplished by the
use of Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegeta
ble Compound, as evidenced by the
following letters :
Trenton, N. J. — “I took Lydia
E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound
before childbirth on the adviceof my
mother for nervousness and weak
ness. I was irritable, cranky and
easily worried. Housework seemed
so hard, and at times I was really
unfit to do it. Lydia E. Pinkham’s
Vegetable Compound overcame this
condition, mv nervousness disap
peared and 1 felt like a different
person entirely, and 1 hope this
letter will lead other women who
are in this condition to try it”—Mrs.
L. Bockove r, 188 Kirkbride Ave,,
Trenton, N. J.
No Praise Too Great
Litchfield. III.—“ I took Lydia E.
Pinkham'sVegetable Compound be
fore my son was bom as I was not
strong after the birth of my first
child. No praise is too great for
what it has done for me. When
my daughter was growing up and
needed it I gave it to her and it re
lieved her pains. Lydia E.Pinkham's
Vegetable Compound has done a
great deal for me and many of my
friends.”—Mrs. J. B. Martin, 717
Clay Street, Litchfield, I1L
It Helped Mrs. Harris
Miami, Mo.—‘‘I was a nervous
wreck before my child was bom and
often had to remain in bed with
cramps and sick stomsch. A friend
recommended Lydia E. Pinkham’s
Vegetable Compound and I gained
strength and health. It is unequaled
for this purpose and I recommend
your medicine at every opportu
nity’’—Mrs. Jo W. Harris. Lone tj,
Maple Farm, Route 2, Miami, Mo.
