| Wife of Accused Murderer Seeks Divorce Decree Mr?. Seth Danner May Te?tify Against Husband, Held for Slaying Montana Couple. Bozeman, Mont., June 12.—Endeav oring to construct a case independent of the confession of the defendant's wife, County Attorney E. Peterson held an autopsy ^n the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. John Sprouse in con nection with whose death informa tion charging murder were filed yes terday against Seth Panner. A brother of the man who was alleged to have been killed by Panner nearly three years ago will arrive here in a day or two from Firesteel, S. P., to attempt to identify the Ind ies. The result of I he autopsy, County Attorney Peterson believes, will, when introduced in court, establish the cause of death without dependence on Mrs. Danner's story to the authori ties, that Panner shot Sprouse for a small sum of money and later killed Mrs. Sprouse by striking her on the head with an ax. Mrs. Panner has filed suit for dl vorce from the man shs has accused of the double slaying, papers having b$en served on Panner in jail. Mrs. Panner asks for a decree bn the grounds of wilful neglect. Under the Montana law a wife cannot testify against her husbandf but lit is Peter son's opinion that a former wife's testimony is admissihle, hence if she obtains a divorce he hopes to be able to use her sworn affidavit with ref erence to the alleged crime, although he is continuing his investigation to the end that the st^te may have as strong a rase as possible without us ing Mrs. Danner as a witness. •- County Attorney Teterson stated to Pday he expected the case to come to trial within four or five weeks. Danner was arraigned yesterday, pleaded not guilty and was remanded to jail. He told the court Jie did rot have money with which to em ploy an attorney and the court an nounced he would appoint one later. Sioux City Papers to Be on Normal Basis Within Week! Sioux City. June 12.—The strike of printers on the Sioux City newspapers still is on. Roth the Journal and Tribune are increasing their workng forres dialy and are running their composing room under the open shop plan. The papers claim that within a week they will he operating with nearly normal force. ANNOUNCEMENTS Hurial Vaults . 1 INSTINCTIVE feature*, «e« demonstration I at factory.
