What police declare to be a smooth working underworld clique with an at tractive girl In the role of a decoy for the gang's victims, was broken up by the arrest Saturday afternoon by De tectives Munch and Brinkman of Adonna Smith, Thomas Bullls, taxicab driver whom police found in her room, and Don Haines, Rex hotel. The arrest was made following com plaint of Bert Shannon, railroad man, that he went out Friday night with Haines to a bootlegging place in South Omaha, and that when he woke up shortly bffore dawn at South Thir teenth and Dominion streets, he had been robbed of $60, He told police that yesterday after noon Haines, whom he met at the hotel, offered to introduce him to a pretty girl, and drove him out to call on Miss Smith. After a short time, the girl excused herself, and Haines suggested they take a trip to South Omaha. Police found a purse which Shannon identified as his, in Haines' room. Haines, it is alleged. Implicated the girl whose husband Is being sought. Bullis is merely held for Investigation. Police have no evidence to connect him with the robbery. Leave for Cottage in West.
