Nebraska Dental Convention Here 500 Dentists Will Attend Four Day Meeting—Prominent Speakers on Pro gram. Five hundred Nebraska dentists will be in Omaha Monday to attend the annual convention of the Nebraska Dental society. Activities will be di vided between Hotel Fontenelle and the Auditorium. Executive council and other meetings are to be held at the Fontenelle, while lectures, meet ings and exhibits of dental supply houses are to he at the Auditorium. The convention will bring to Omaha several men of international prom inence in'the dental world, as well as nicn who are well known in the pro fession In the middle west Monday morning will he devoted ex clusively to the annual golf tourna ment of the Nebraska Dentists’ Coif association. Monday noon Ihere will be a meeting and luncheon of the ex- ! eeutive council. The convention will be opened formally at 1:30 at the Foil- j tenelle. Mayor .Tames Dahlman dellv- ! ering the address of welcome. Dr. J. H. Wallace, Omaha, will preside. Hr. Johnson to Speak. Dr. C. N. Johnson, Chicago, one of the best known dental teachers in ; the world, will speak on "Dental Economics.” Dr. Otto U. King. Chi cago, member of the American Dental association, will lecture on "The Dentist Who Wins.” Monday night there will be a testi- i menial banquet at the Fontenelle at i which Dr. Johnson will he the guest ! of honor. Several dentists will ap pear on the toast program, which will . he Complimentary to the career of Dr. Johnson. A token, expressing , the esteem with which he is held in the dental profession, will he pre sented to him during the banquet. School Health Discussion. A demonstration and discussion of w hat is being done in Omaha schools to promote health education will be held. This will be under the super visin of Miss Charlotte Townsend, supervisor of school nurses. The re mainder of the evening will be spent in dancing. Tuesday lectures are to be deliv ered by Dr. Willis A. Coston, Topeka, and Dr. T. L. Furnas, Cleveland, i Their lectures will he opened to the convention for discussion, led by so lected dentists. Tuesday afternoon demonstrations will be conducted at the Auditorium. Throughout the four days the con vention is in session there will he a series of clinics and demonstrations covering every phase of dentistry. Committee Plans Flag Day Show —»— Council of Americanization to Receive New Citizens at Auditorium. The Omaha Council of Americaniza tion derided at a meeting held Friday afternoon to put on a show for three ckiys, beginning Flu# day, June 14. June 12 to 1S will be observed as "Flag Day” week. On Tuesday night, June 12. at a mass meeting in the. Auditorium, a class of new citizens "ill be received. Gen George B. Dun can will he the speaker. Details of the three-day show have not been decided. Mayor Dahiman, who is president of the Omaha t'ouncil of Americaniza tion, endorsed the proposal to hold the show. This organization has classes in various parts of the city, for men and women, and for various national! ties. English and citizenship are taught. The work of the council has lieen approved by the federal govern ment, the board of education, the rc tailors' association, the jobbers' as sociation, and other organizations, ac cording to S. rt.
