Mrs. Rena Ellsworth Dale will give an evening coffee and musicals at her home this evening for 40 guests, including the choir and opera clubs. I Bride of Week On Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Neiman gave in marriage their daughter, Dorothy, to Lloyd McElroy. Dr. Wheeler of the Wheeler Memorial church performed the ceremony. The bride wore a gray georgette gown and carried Ophelia roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Lenpre Martin was maid of honor. Clark Neitnan served as best man. Overseas Girls National Meet i _ An elaborate program of interesting and vital features has been arranged for the national convention of the Women's Overseas Service league to be called to order in Chicago, 111., June 14 to If. Among the speakers of national and International prominence who have been invited to attend arc: Gen. John J. Pershing; Chairman John Barton Payne, of the American Red Cross, and Herbert Hoover, sec retary of commerce. Convention head quarters will he located at the Hotel Drake. Miss Doulse Wells, president of the Women's Overseas Service league. will preside. She is supervising ar rangements for the convention Rt the national headquarters of the league, in the central division office of the Red Cross in Chicago. According to re ports at hand from every section of the nation, Miss Weils believes that a record attendance will be recorded at the convention. A number of co-operating welfare organizations and agencies will be represented at the annual event, and will participate actively in the pro gram. Miss Anita Phipps, head of the women’s relations department of the United States army; Mrs. Kran ces Rogens of New York City, founder of the first soldiers’ and sail ors’ post war camps; Judge Rarthole mew, of Chicago, and a number of others Interested in humane and wel fare service, will deliver addresses, and render reports from their repre sentative units. The ways and means of still further uiding the United States army and navy, the Red Cross, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, the American Legion, and other rec- , ognized national organizations for! welfare service, will be a principal factor of discussion at the convention. A special memorial feature is scheduled on the program, at which addresses will he made commemorat ing the ^crifices of the women who died in the service.
