Six Youths Are Held at
Lexington for Robberies
Keirney, Neb., Feb. 27.—(Special.)
—Bobbing as many as 10 stores,
cracking one safe and possibly being
implicated in the,theft of an auto, is
a review of the activities of six young
men, zeing held by officers at Lex
ington. Three weer arrested in Kear
ney. giving names of eGorge Ballard.
George Stone and Eugene Frisbee. all
of Lexintgon. ass uspects in an auto
theft ease. The lads confessed to a
series of spectacular store robberies
taking placed tiring the past two
month and thereby cleared up sev
eral such cages that have puzzled
the officers in small nearb ytowns. As
a result of this confession three other
Lexington lads, known to the local
police as the Htockdale brothers, are
also being held.

to Build Line to Lincoln
Beatrice, Neb., Feb. 27.—(Special.)—
A report has reached Beatrice to the
effect that the K. C. & N. W. railroad,
which is seeking $1,000,000 through
the Interstate Commerce commission
to aid it in putting the line between
Virginia, Neb., and Kansas City into
operation again, is planning to build
an extension line from Virginia to
Lincoln, 50 miles distant, taking in
tile towns of Filley and Cortland. A
plat of the proposed route shows that
two new towns will be established In
Cage county and one or two in Lan
caster county. *
