[Wife Claims Her
Husband Is Mate
of Sister-in-Law
Fremont Mother, Seeking Di
vorce, Says Spouse Lived
in Omaha With Other
Woman.
Fremont, Neb., Feb. 5.—(Special.)—
Charging that her husband, Phillip
AV ilklns, 36, Chicago & Northwestern
yardmaster at Fremont, is in love
viith her sister-in-law and that they
have lived together in Omaha and
other places for days at a time, Mrs.
Clara Wilkins today filed suit for di
vorce, asking custody of the two
children and alimony. In the mean
time. Mrs. Wilkins demands an in
junction restraining her husband
lium coming to the family home.
Tile sister-in Iftw named in the pe
tition is Nina Larson, wife of Dew
Larson, brother of Mrs. Wilkins.
The wife asserts that her husband
began his friendship with Mrs. Lar
son more than a year ago. She ob
jected to his open display of affection
for Mrs. Larson, the petition states, 1
hut her persuasions were without re- j
suit. Wilkins insisted that he loved
Mrs. Larson and would never give
her up, according to the plaintiff.
Mrs. Wilkins alleges that her hus
band and Mrs. Larson met In Omaha
on January 31, where they resided to
gether at the Nordeen apartments at
Park avenue and Pacific street until
February 2.
The Winkins were married in Fre
mont in October. 1912. They are well
known in this city. Mrs. Wilkins al
leges that lie earns *32.7 per month
with the railroad, owns a car and has
stock in th£ Kearney lintel, Kearney.
She asks sufficient alimony to main
tain herseuf and children. Evelyn, 6
and Louis, 7.
Alien Vi lio Thought Himself
Citizen Is Naturalized
Strange is the case of Nelse Mar
tinson, 3151 Mason street, who was!
admitted to American citizenship in j
naturalization court yesterday.
"I have voted for more than 20
years and have been a member of the
school board and a justice of the ]
peace in Minneapolis and once was j
prominent In the race for nomination i
for goveroor," he said. "I thought I
was a citizen.
"But when I moved to Omaha, my j
vote was challenged and J had to :
send for the records of my father's
naturalization. I discovered that he
"lad not been naturalized until after
1 was past 21. This made me an
ilien. That is why I am going
hrough the process at this time.
