    Man Sells Jewelry
to Pay Off Losses
(Jeorge Margulis, 21. of Sioux Falls,
D., who was arrested Monday
^while posing for his photograph in
a local studio, was stripping himself
’ y esterday of his jewelry to satisfy
the claims of Nebraska school teach
ers whom he is alleged to have de
frauded by raising checks.
He relinquished his watch in fa
vor of Miss Winifred Arganbright of
Millard, whose check for $2 in pay
ment for a subscription to a school
magazine he raised to $20.
In Margulis' room at the Hotel
Rome police found a book containing
the names of girls and women in 15
different towns in Nebraska. They
also found letters from young wom
en of education, expressing a marked
interest in Margulis’ affairs.
Margulis has appealed to his par
ents for aid, and says he will make
good all the checks he has raised.

Byrue to Attend Fidelity
