Firm Donates Coal
to Charities Here
The Goddard Fuel company has
agreed to donate 509 tons of coal to
the Associated Charities, for the use
of Omaha families during the winter.
The donation has a cash vnluo greater
than tho entire receipts of tho Chnrity
hall Wednesday night and is one of
the most liberal gifts the association
has ever received.
"Naturally, we are delighted,” said
Mrs. George W. Doane, secretary of
the Associated Charities. "Coal is one
thing that la a real problem for us
and this helps us most materially at
n time.when, as a result of the fire
which destroyed our office, we par
ticularly need everything Hint we can
get."
